More About Me

I fell in love with photography slowly, but the passion was first ignited while playing with my parents’ digital camera in elementary school years trying to take artsy pictures of my dogs and the palm trees in my back yard. I soon graduated to doing (now) embarrassing photoshoots with my sister, cousins, and friends in those wonderfully awkward middle and early high school years as we rocked our braces and Limited Too outfits, feeling as cool as Lizzie McGuire. The early years of Instagram helped me to continue honing both my aesthetic eye and my photography skills by practicing taking pictures of everyday life and creating artistic memories out of ordinary moments. Through college, I began taking senior portraits for friends who were graduating, which is where I consider my official photography career to have begun.

 

Almost 10 years later, I am loving photography more than ever! I am married and loving life with my husband, Dana, raising our own Little Women tribe of four girls together. Having a family has added so much to the joy and value of photography in my eyes. I so enjoy photographing other families in their everyday moments or their special life milestones, knowing for myself the sweetness and value of those frozen memories. From graduations, to proposals, to engagements and intimate weddings, to maternity, newborn, and family photography, I like to have a foot in it all! I’m also always game for special projects or unique ideas that clients want help bringing to life through photography.
